Justis Publishing to attend SLS conference

11th September 2008

Justis Publishing will be out in force at this year’s annual conference of the Society of Legal Scholars. Taking place at the LSE from 15th to 18th September, it features incisive sessions from the likes of Timothy Dutton QC, Chairman of the Bar Council and Martin Partington CBE, emeritus professor at Bristol University.

Our part will be to showcase Justis, the full-text legal library of UK and EU cases and legislation going back to 1163. Recent additions include the extension of the Irish Reports – with PDFs – back to 1838 and digitization of Cambridge University Press’s authoritative and respected International Law Reports.

We will also be pleased to demonstrate JustCite, our ever-expanding, provider-neutral citator, which is rapidly gaining praise from high places.

Professor Partington, also a practising barrister and honorary QC, says that JustCite “comes with a clean bill of health at Arden Chambers”, where he is a tenant. “It has strong support and people like it”, he adds, and he “can see that the service it offers provides a quick and efficient way for practitioners and academics to trace case law”.

Sign-in details for a month’s free trial of Justis and JustCite can be obtained at our stand or by emailing us afterwards. If you can make it along, we look forward to seeing you at the stand, where you can enter our Barrister Bear prize draw.
