Justis extends coverage of Scottish Session Cases 25 years beyond the competition

14th December 2007

Recent additions to the Session Cases now extend Justis’s continuous coverage of the definitive Scottish law reports back to 1873.

Exceeding its closest rival’s archive by a quarter of a century, the service also trumps the competition in its unique provision of printable PDFs.

Taking precedence over all other case law series in Scotland, the SCLR’s invaluable texts have expanded on Justis through three key acquisitions: the Session volumes, running from 1907 to 1929; the Fraser volumes, for the years 1898 to 1905; and the Rettie volumes – unavailable anywhere else in the world – which run from 1873 to 1897.

As with more recent cases, the new additions to the time-saving online service can be searched for via an intuitive index. Each PDF faithfully replicates the original page, preserves its pagination and automatically prints to A4, fit for court presentation.

Justis Publishing’s Projects Director, Bernadette Jansen op de Haar, added that pre-Act of Union legislation would also be uploaded imminently.
